Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Nasruddin Bin Bahari
PSM, DSPN, JMN

Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Nasruddin aged 70 holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Malaya in 1960 and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh USA in 1970 Upon his graduation, he joined the Malaysian civil service in 1961 where he served more than thirty years and his last position held was as the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence.

Upon retirement in 1992, Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Nasruddin was appointed as Chairman of AIROD Sdn Bhd. Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Nasruddin then joined the OCBC Board on 13 November 2000 and last re-elected as a Director on 30 March 2005. He is presently Chairman of OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad, Affin Money Brokers Sendirian Berhad and Sumber Petroleum Cemerlang (SPC) Sendirian Berhad.

Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Nasruddin  is also a Director of several companies, including Lingkaran Transkota Holdings Bhd (LITRAK), The Pacific Insurance Berhad OCBC Bank (M) Berhad, OCBC Credit Berhad and Overseas-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited, Singapore.

Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Nasruddin   has lately been appointed as a Director of R. B. Land Holdings Bhd and Chairman of Garisan Ethika Sdn Bhd.

 

Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Dato' Dr. Yahaya Ibrahim
PSM, DPMP, JSM. DPMP, AMN, DJN, PJK, Ph.D

Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Yahaya Ibrahim completed his MSc in Elementary Science Education and Ph.D in Education majoring in Educational Supervision and Staff Development at Southern Illinois University, Illinois, USA. He pursued a Science Education Diploma from the University of Reading, United Kingdom after completing a Teachers’ Certificate at Kirkby College, University of Liverpool in United Kingdom.

Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Yahaya Ibrahim published a teacher’s guide book “Teaching Science The Simple Way” published by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka and 24 articles on Science Education.

Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Yahaya Ibrahim was a Member of University Court, University Malaya, until it was disbanded. He was the Assistant Chief Inspector of Schools cum head of Science and Staff Development Unit of the Federal Inspectorate of Schools, Ministry of Education, Malaysia before his retirement from government service in 1984.

He was a governing board member representing the Malaysian Government in the Malaysian-American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE) and was a Researcher at the Regional Education Centre for Science and Mathematics (RECSAM) for South-East Asia based in Penang. He served as the Secretary of the State Education Board, Melaka and an Elementary and Secondary School teacher and Principal in Melaka.

Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Yahaya Ibrahim had a long and distinguished career first with the public sector and then in the private sector. He is the founding president of two major associations in private education namely the National Association of Private and Independent Education Institution (NAPIEI) and the Malaysian Association of Private Colleges and Universities (MAPCU).

Currently Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Yahaya Ibrahim is the Pro-Chancellor of Sultan Idris University of Education in Tanjong Malim, Perak.

 

Y. Bhg. Dato' N. Sadasivam N. N. Pillay

Y. Bhg. Dato' N. Sadasivan N. N. Pillay is an Economics graduate of University of Malaya. He is an independent Non-Executive Director of several large public listed companies in Malaysia such as Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad (CCM),  Petronas Gas Berhad, Leader Universal Holdings Berhad, APM Automotive Holdings Berhad, Malaysia Airline System Berhad, Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad and Yeo Hiap Seng (Malaysia) Berhad.  Additionally he is a Director of Bank Negara Malaysia. 

Y. Bhg. Dato' N. Sadasivan has served as an Economist in the Economic Development Board, Singapore, and on the Economic Development Board Singapore, as Chief in the Industrial Facilities Division in the 1960s. In the 1970s and 1980s he was the Deputy Director-General of the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) and served as Director General in MIDA in the 1980s to 1990s.

Y. Bhg. Dato’ N. Sadasivan is currently the Executive Chairman of SKA Management Consultants Sdn Bhd.

Deputy Chairman

Colin Pereira, JP.
Colin Felix Pereira, a LLB (Hons) graduate brings to bear his expertise in business, education and legal affairs, specializing in institutional partnership, corporate affairs and start-up ventures of new educational units.

Colin Pereira spearheaded the Raffles Education Group in 1998.  The Raffles Education Group has since expanded with Olympia College (Malaysia), Raffles Academy (Singapore and India), Knowledge Universe (Malaysia) and WEC-Nottingham Trent University learning centres in Korea and Indonesia. 

He is currently the President of The Kuala Lumpur Home Nursing Association.

 

 

 

Managing Director

Sydney Pereira
Sydney Pereira, a B.A (Hons) in Accounting, UK graduate, has more than sixteen years experience in the provision of private education service. 

He specializes in the development of management and financial systems for local and foreign based educational organizations. 

In addition, he also undertakes the implementation of specialized educational projects.  Mr Sydney Pereira is also currently providing consultancy services to private institutions and organizations in Asia.

Oliver Pereira
Oliver Pereira, CIM(UK), MBA(UK) graduate has more than 20 years’ experience in the rounded field of education, marketing, finance and property development, and prior to coming back to Malaysia, was heading Raffles’ operations in USA for nine years.
 

Kevin  Pereira
Kevin Pereira, a BSc Computer Science graduate brings with him over 12 years’ experience in the private education service.  He specialises in the setting up of computer schools, educational systems and information systems.

Deputy Chairman, Academic Board

Jean-Francois Jadin

A Belgium national, Mr Jean-Francois Jadin holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and a M.Sc. in Information Systems from the University of Namur. Jean-Francois started his career with Apple Computers as a trainer. He subsequently became an international trainer, traveling in over 30 countries across all continents, delivering over 150 seminars. He conducted an organizational audit of STC in London and of a large government hospital in Paris, for which he was awarded the ISCEA Foundation Prize.

In 1992, he arrived in Malaysia and joined the Stamford College Group’ School of Computing to later join the pioneer team of the Raffles Education Group and head its School of Computing.  In 1995, he became General Manager of Raffles Training Centre, the corporate training and development division of the Group.  In 2000, Raffles Training Centre was incorporated in both Malaysia and Singapore under the Imperial Consulting brand, with Jean-Francois serving as its COO and later CEO. Based in Singapore, he shuttles between both offices.

Jean-Francois is a Director of the Malaysia Belgium Luxembourg Business Council and Deputy Chairman of the European Union Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  He also chairs the Academic Boards of the World Education Council and the Raffles Education Group.

With Imperial Consulting now representing the American Management Association and Harvard Business School Publishing in Malaysia, Singapore, India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Australia, Jadin sets to himself to tap on AMA world class learning resources to the benefit of the corporate and public sector in this part of the world.

Group Academic Director

Chan Chee Seng
C S Chan holds a BA (Hons ) degree from the University of Malaya and a MA in Education from the University of Reading, UK. He holds professional membership with several professional bodies including the Society of Effective Affective Learning, the International Alliance of Learners and is a Certified Trainer of the American Management Association. Currently, he is member of the World Education Council Academic Board.

 C S Chan has been in the field of tertiary education spanning more than 25 years and working exclusively in the private higher education sector.

Amongst the positions he held include Senior Lecturer, Principal, Programme Director, Deputy Director of Studies, Education Consultant, Principal Trainer – Consultant, Director of Studies, Director of Academic Planning and currently holds the position of Director of Research, Training and Development.

Group Administration Director

A.V.Rao
AV Rao joined the Raffles Education Group (REG) in 1998 and held various positions as Principal, Chairman of REG Examination Board. He was the Chairperson of Board of Examiners for the NTU programmes between 2001-2003. He was appointed Centre Director for Olympia College Kuantan and Olympia College Johore Bahru from 2004-2007. His prior experience with Stamford College enabled him to create and set-up various administrative and examination systems which were imperative for the effective administration and academic operations.

He obtained his bachelor degree from the National University of Malaysia and subsequently graduated from the University of Shinshuu in Japan with a Masters in Economics. He strongly believes that the Group’s slogan ‘Let the Light Shine’ truly allows individuals to excel, if they choose to, and  concludes that it ‘walks the talk’ by keeping to the vision and mission of the organisation.

He shares with his peers and subordinates the values required to run a successful educational institution as first being on the need to set priorities followed by providing service to students and then service to our staff and friends.

Business Development Director

Albukhary bin Awang
Albukhary bin Awang had an early education at  the Government School and later furthered his studies at George Washington University, Washington DC, USA majoring in Computer Science.

He had received various awards and honours during studied at George Washington University including Dean’s List, Norman B. Ames Award (Distinguished Scholar who has served the University), Engineers' Council Award ( The best council member of the year in George Washington University, USA).

He had been elected as The President of Malaysian Student Association, George Washington University, U.S.A. (1987), elected as The Manager, Engineers' Council, George Washington University, U.S.A (1987) and elected as Junior Representative, Engineers' Council George Washington University, U.S.A (1987).

He has been working in Corporate Planning, Information Technology and Marketing as well as Business Development for more than 20 years and was appointed by the Government to develop the IT Master Plan for the whole development of the PUTRAJAYA to becoming the Intelligent City.

Albukhary Awang is also the Director of several companies, including Mutiara Dominasi (M) Sdn Bhd, Silver Hitech Industries(M) Sdn Bhd, Imperial Management Center Sdn Bhd and Platinum ITC Sdn Bhd

Noor Azmy Bin A. Zakaria
He has vast experience in Business Development and Planning as well as Marketing and Business Development having worked for more than 25 years.

Among the experience earned for the past 25 years include:-

Advises the Board of Directors of the overall planning, advocates/promotes company and stakeholder change related to the mission of the company , supports motivation of staff (employees) in organization products/programs and operations , ensures staff and Board have sufficient and up-to-date information  ,formulates policies and planning recommendations to the Board of Directors makes recommendations, supports Board during orientation and evaluation and settle all the company’s problems which related to the government matters.

Deputy Director of Studies

Mary Reggie
Mary Reggie started her career in education in the 1980’s and joined Olympia College in 1996 having held various positions as Lecturer, Registrar, Head of Department, Deputy Principal, Deputy Dean and Head of School. She now holds the position of Deputy Director of Studies for the Group. She holds a Masters degree from the Nottingham Trent University UK.

In 2007, she received an honorary fellowship from the Institute of Administrative Management, UK for her contribution to the Institute in managing the courses for Olympia College Malaysia. In the same year she received the Raffles Education Group Founder’s Award for outstanding employee performance. In 2005, she was featured in a publication of Who’s Who titled People at the Peak as a successful candidate in the education sector. Being an advocate to education she also completed an Advanced Diploma in Teaching in Higher Education with the Nottingham Trent University UK. Her experience has been vast extending into general teaching, curriculum development, setting up new campuses, corporate event planning and conducting training. She is a certified trainer by AMA (American Management Association) and was seconded by UNICEF Myanmar to train their administrators.

Finance Manager

Engku Mohd Shukri
Engku Mohd Shukri graduated from De Montfort University, Leicester, United Kingdom in with an honours degree in Accounting and Finance. He started working with a multinational company in Petaling Jaya as trainee accountant.

Later, he joined Pharmaniaga Berhad in Group Corporate Services Division. He specialises in the treasury and collection matters. He was responsible for the monitoring of the cash flows of the group, the collection team department and other accounts receivable functions.

Before joining Olympia College in 2008 as the Finance Manager, he was the Head of Accounts Department of a Biotech company with a Bionexus status and was responsible for the full range of finance and accounting function. He was involved in getting the Seed Grant from the government via Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation.
