CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION AT OCJB

On the 20th of February 2008, Olympia College Johor Bahru campus staff and students had a pleasant surprise with the presence of the Lion Dance Troop to mark the Lunar New Year of the Rat.

According to the Principal of Johor Bahru campus, Mr Low Jiun Jack “The campus was decorated with red lanterns, lights, banners and with greeting cards received from well-wishers. The lions gave blessings to both staff as well as students. The lions also wrote 4 Chinese words on the floor that meant “Fast Improvement in Studies”. It is a greeting to wish that all students will have better results in the coming year.”

“The Lion Dance troop was one of the spectacular sights where they moved along superbly to the beat of gongs, drums and cymbals and they gave the greetings to students in an Ang Pow and hug the students “ he added.
