OLYMPIA COLLEGE LAUNCHES NEW PREMISES IN PENANG

Change is something that is rapidly happening in today’s environment. Olympia College has taken a positive approach towards change by acquiring its new premises at Northam Tower in Penang to serve the students, staff and the community better.
The new premises launch was officiated by Guest of Honour, Y. Bhg Datuk Prof. Mohd Yusof Kasim Deputy Director-General, Ministry of Higher Education at the Northam Tower in Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, Penang, a high-end commercial building. The launch of the new premises signifies a new era for the college and will give Olympia College the opportunity to provide a fresh and innovative working environment for the students and staff and to continue its expansion.
In his speech, Y. Bhg Datuk Prof. Mohd Yusof Kasim said “I am made to understand that Olympia College has constantly strived to provide quality education not only for Malaysians, but for students from all over the globe.”
“Thus, it is not surprising that the management of Olympia College went to the extent of improving on its campus environment by acquiring its new premise here at the Northam Tower, for the convenience of its students, staff and potential employers.” Y. Bhg Datuk Prof. Mohd Yusof Kasim added.

Y. Bhg Datuk Prof. Mohd Yusof Kasim further stressed that the ministry encourages colleges to offer courses that are tailor-made for the job market. This means, students can look forward to almost instant employment upon graduation if they pursued the right vocation. This calls for careful planning by all parties concerned – students themselves, the colleges, employers and the ministry.
In his conclusion, Y. Bhg Datuk Prof. Mohd Yusof Kasim said, “I hope institutions like Olympia College will carry out with their wonderful work and effort of not only reaping profits as a business entity, but carrying out its social responsibility of providing quality education and career guidance for students.
Located at the three highest floors i.e. 28, 29 and 30th floors, Olympia College went further towards enhancement with upgraded facilities such as the reception area, counselling room, auditorium, library and student recreation lounge as well as media room for effective teaching and learning process.
The college has also upgraded the computer facilities to four computer labs whereby internet can be easily accessible for research and reference purposes. Additionally, there is also a cafeteria with sea-view, located on the highest floor of this prestigious building to provide the students with a pleasant environment.
