Staff Appreciation Nite at OCJB

Olympia College, Johor Bahru (OCJB) campus had organised a Staff Appreciation Nite recently with the objective of thanking all the staff members for their invaluable contributions as well as providing them an avenue to get together and know each other better. Family members of senior and long-serving staff members were also invited by the College with a view to fostering better relationships.

The Dinner was held on board a cruise that started from Danga Bay and went around the Straits of Malacca, all the way to the Causeway and returned back in two and a half hours. A local flavored dinner was served right at the beginning of the cruise. After dinner, all staff members gathered and a small ceremony was held when our senior staffs who has contributed more than 5 years of dedicated service were presented with Certificates of Appreciation.

Subsequently,  Special  Awards were bestowed to Mr Ahmad, the Security Guard, who had not taken any annual leave over the past two years, and  also to Ms. Cherry, the  Marketing Coordinator, who had not taken any MC over the last two years.

There was some fun and entertainment too as some of the academic members and lecturers entertained everyone with memorable evergreen songs.

Towards the end, there was a lucky draw session and the grand  prize went to Cik Anis, the librarian.

Mr Low Jiun Jack, the Principal thanked the organizing committee (Dr Sankaran, Ms Susan and Ms Latha)  for organizing the wonderful event. He also thanked all the staff members for their invaluable contribution for the growth of the Johor Bahru campus. His parting message to all members was “Work hard and play hard”.
