Principal’s Lunch & Cup-Cake Decorating Workshop at OC Ipoh
On 24 June 2009, Olympia College, Ipoh campus had organized a lunch for Principals from 15 schools. A total of 22 secondary school Principals and Counsellors had attended the lunch.
The event organized annually by Olympia College Ipoh is to build rapport with the Principals and also to introduce Olympia College to the senior school staffs.

The event started at 12:45 pm with a preview of the college’s vision and mission, courses offered and showcase of student activities pictures – both academic and non-academic as well as the facilities of the college. This was followed by a Q & A session, where Principals and Counsellors were given an opportunity to find out more information about the programmes, scholarships, etc.
Subsequently, the guests were taken on a quick campus tour where they saw classes being conducted, and facilities like the computer labs, engineering lab, library, aerobics studio and shower rooms, etc.
This was a followed by a scrumptuous spread of lunch, served by students of the Raffles Hotel School. Our hotel programme students, wearing their smart uniforms and bright smiles did us proud with their
impeccable service.
Finally, the guests adjourned to another room where a cupcake decorating workshop had been organized. Ms Nurainie Tan, Coordinator of the Raffles Hotel School in Olympia College ,Ipoh explained about the different icing tips and how to pipe icing onto a cupcake. To add to the excitement, each guest were given a box of 4 cupcakes to decorate.

Judging from the delighted faces of the guests, it was obvious they had fun trying to decorate the cupcakes. The men, especially, enjoyed the workshop and said they wanted to show the cupcakes to impress their wives.

The afternoon ended at about 2:30 pm with everyone taking their box of cup-cakes home and a token - Olympia College mug. It was the perfect combination – a mug for hot, fragrant coffee while the cup-cakes were being savoured . It was a perfect ending and everyone had enjoyed themselves.
