OC Kuantan supports  “WWF Egg=Life” Turtle Conservation Campaign

Recently, Olympia College Kuantan supported the WWF “Egg=Life” Turtle Conservation Campaign by participating in this environmental cause. The staff and students collected more than 700 signatures to support the move to ban selling of turtle eggs. The event was organized by Ms Christine, the Academic Manager of OC Kuantan.

Mr Sundar, the Principal of OC Kuantan said: “This is a very informative event for the students because they learnt about the turtle extinction issues in our country. Each one of them pledged to stop eating turtle eggs.”

“It creates an environmental awareness among staff and students. Olympia College is very supportive  and care deeply on environmental issues of this country.” he added.

WWF Malaysia was thankful and appreciated that Olympia College Kuantan assisted in collecting signatures for its campaign petition to the Government. Students and staff enjoyed the event which is very informative and took lot of photos with the “Telur Rangers Car”.

Olympia College Kuantan will be featured in the Green Heart magazine, a WWF magazine for their donors with circulation of 100,000 copies every quarter. The college will also be featured in their documentary film about this nationwide campaign. Besides, OC Kuantan is already mentioned in some online newspapers articles.
