OC Kuantan celebrates Founder’s Day with a difference
On 29 May 2009, OC Kuantan staff and students decided to celebrate the Founder’s Day with a difference by doing community service at the Spastic Children Home in Kuantan.
Ms Christine, the Academic Manager, who organized the event said “The students were happy to do the community service which is the first for many of them. We cooked some meals for the children and organized some games for them. We also fed them and also sang some songs to entertain and cheer them up.”
“This activity is done to create awareness among the students on our current community needs and to cultivate the spirit of kindness among the young adults (students) in our college. Besides, we have created awareness of Olympia College as a caring corporate citizen.”
The Spastic Children Home was very thankful to OC Kuantan for their participation in helping and entertaining their residents. Olympia College Kuantan was glad that they have played a part in doing community service in Kuantan.
