Raffles 14th Graduation Ceremony – Poster Design Contest

Raffles Education Group will be having its 14th Annual Graduation Ceremony on the 5th of December 2009 at the Palace of Golden Horses Hotel. As a run up to the event, all Olympia College centres are busy engaging in public relation activities to promote and build the spirit of graduation.

The 1st activity organized was Poster Design Contest in August ‘09.  Many entries were received and the judges had  tough time selecting the winners.  The 1st prize went to Sivashan, a DIT Programme student from OCKL, the 2nd prize to Foong Yik, HND Graphic Design, Year 2 student whilst the 3rd prize went to  Sivashan  again.

The winners won gift vouchers for their efforts and a small prize giving ceremony was held whereby the announcement and prizes were given by the respective Principal or Deputy Principal of the centre.

The prize giving ceremony will be done at a later date. However the event to congratulate the winner from OCPJ was held at the PJ campus and the prize was presented by Mr Surendran, the Deputy Principal of OCPJ.   The winner was elated that he had been chosen as a winner and would strive to provide more of his work for future events such as the glass painting which is the activity for September ‘09.

Mr Brian, Principal of OCKL said “The prizes for September ’09 activities will be meal vouchers from our very own popular fast food outlets and I would like to encourage  more Olympians to join this event across all campuses.”
