Hari Raya Open House at OCKL
On 3 October ’09, Olympia College, Kuala Lumpur campus organized and hosted an Open House to celebrate Hari Raya with the muslim staff. It was proposed by Mr Brian Param, the Principal of OCKL and was organized by Ms Raisya, his P.A, assisted by Ms Norzita, Ms Munirah, Mr Hanafiah, Mr Azman, Mr Azahar, Ms Shida, Ms Nadia, Ms Shafira, Mr Irfan and all the muslim staff at OCKL. More than 50 staff members enjoyed the get-together from 12.00 noon till 2.30pm.
There was lots of food and local delicacies including satay and various cakes mostly made by the staff. To foster team approach, staff of all races and backgrounds helped each other to make the event a success. Mr Sydney Pereira, the Managing Director together with the Directors, Mr Azmi and Mr Bob also joined the event.
Accordingly to Ms Raisya, there was a lot of preparation behind the scenes and she was grateful to the support of all in her committee as well as the centre and group management. She and Ms Zita would like to express their gratitude to Mr Sydney for his contribution to make the event a success.
There was great music, staff mingling, photos opportunities, chicken cooking on an open flame and a lot of food to be savoured. Mr Sydney congratulated the organizer with “two thumbs up” and wished all muslim staff a “SELAMAT HARI RAYA”.
Brian Param, Principal of OCKL said “There will be a series of festive celebrations with the next one for Deepavali and Christmas. We live in a multi-cultural society and we should celebrate and enjoy with all races that make-up our wonderful country, Malaysia.”
