500 Students Participates in FREE SPM Revision Programme at Olympia, Kuantan

Olympia College, Kuantan campus had recently organized a Free SPM revision programme with Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri  (JPN) recommended teachers from various schools. The programme was organized by Olympia College, Kuantan campus with the support of JPN.

Mr Surya, the Marketing Coordinator of OC Kuantan, said: “I was given the task to communicate to JPN to get Specialist teachers (Guru Pakar/Guru Cemerlang) and  it was a challenge to get the teachers at this time  since they are all very busy with various important activities and schedule but we managed to get them.”

Mr Sundar, the Principal of OC Kuantan extends his gratitude and heartfelt thanks to JPN and the all the specialist teachers for their services rendered.

Olympia College, Students Service team - Mr Foo and Mr Surya  were assigned to get school participants, with the assistance of various school Principals and Counsellors.  Over  1,500 applications were received, and OC Kuantan managed to serve over  500 students  on 4 days (31/10/2009 - 1/11/2009 & 7/11/2009  8/11/2009). In total 24 schools students benefitted from this programme.

The school Principals and Counselors sent their warm greetings and thanked  Olympia College, Kuantan campus for this excellent academic service.

A few school Counsellors expressed their views on this event. Here’s what they said:

• Madam Tay , Counsellor from SMK Semabu, said : “This event is a brilliant activity as it gives life to the students who are going to start their career based on their  SPM results. She sent her well-wishes and conveyed her heartful thanks to Olympia College for this magnificent service.”
• Ms Lim, Counsellor from  SMK Tok Sera said : “ This is a good academic service which really helps the SPM students and also conveyed her gratitude to Olympia College Kuantan.”
• Tuan Haji Azhar, Counsellor from SMK Bukit Rangin said : Thanks to Olympia College and had requested to choose more students from his school and to  give priority to his students since it is a remote school from town and the students really needs this kind of support.”  Olympia College managed to serve almost all the applicants (students) from this school.
• Madam Chan, Counsellor from SMK Seri Damai said : “The  students are so excited about this programme and they really enjoyed  themselves and said this programme really improved their academic standard.”

On behalf of Olympia College, Kuantan campus, Mr Sundar thanked the event organizers, the management, the staff and faculty members for their involvement and support towards the  success of this event despite the event being conducted on a public holiday.

Olympia College Kuantan campus also extended  its heartfelt thanks to all the  School Counsellors, Principals and the students for their full support and comittment.
