DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (DBM)

Course Structure

The programme has been designed to provide employability to graduates in line with the College’s vision and mission.
The combined studies of core and designate concentration in different areas of management are aimed at making graduating students more versatile for the job market.
The programme provides a progression to higher education in the field of business management through advanced standing arrangements with institutions of higher education, both locally as well as overseas.

Duration

• 2 1/2 years or 7 semesters
   

Entry Requirement

• 3 SPM credits and a pass in English or O Levels equivalent qualifications OR
• 3 Bs and a pass in Bahasa Malaysia for UEC qualification

Project

Teaching & Learning Methods:
Highly qualified lecturers will introduce, reinforce, enhance, and promote ideas and concepts through lectures, tutorial discussions, work-shops on business with supplemental aids such as films, slides, overhead transparencies, videotapes and audiotapes.

In addition to being an entrepreneur, supervisory and executive positions are available in myriads of companies dealing with diverse business activities, products and services as well as different functional areas such as Administration, Marketing, Human Resource Management and Entrepreneurial Marketing.

Further
Studies

Students can also further their studies after completing the Diploma in Business Management, in several universities in the UK and Australia through advanced standing either into the second or final year of their under-graduate degree programme.

Entry into the second year of the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) approved 3+0 degree programmes available through Olympia College.
