| Programme Objectives |
The Diploma in Business programme is specially designed to develop students as employable knowledge workers in the world of business. Students gain a broad business education that is further enhanced with studies in the areas like Management, Human Resource Management and Marketing. This programme is also designed to meet the academic standard and rigour of world class programmes so as to enable students to progress to further their studies in degree programmes offered locally and overseas. This programme also provides excellent prospects for employment. |
| Course Structure |
This course comprises of 26 modules, and all modules are guided through lectures, tutorials, practical workshops and presentations. |
| Duration |
Full-time: 2 1/2 years (7 semesters)
On completion, Diploma holders require only a study of 2 years to complete their 3+0 degree and thus save time and money. |
| Entry Requirement |
SPM with 3 credits and a pass in English or O Levels equivalent qualifications OR 3 Bs and a pass in Bahasa Malaysia for UEC qualification. |

| Assessment |
During the course, students will be assessed by assignments or mid-term examinations or group projects and written examinations. The aim of the assessment is to determine how well the students meet the instructional goals and to measure the learning outcomes of each subject. |

| Exemptions |
Students who have completed prior qualifications of equivalent standard, syllabus and learning outcomes can apply for and obtain exemptions (advanced standing). |

| Further Studies |
Upon successful completion of the Diploma in Business Studies students can get an additional internationally recognised Higher National Diploma award from Edexcel Inter-national, UK by completing an integrated project.
Students can also further their studies after completing the Diploma in Business Studies, in several universities in the UK and Australia through advanced standing either into the second or final year of their undergraduate degree.
Special note:
Opportunities are also available to undertake Distance Learning programmes or entry into the second year of the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) approved 3+0 degree programmes available through Olympia College.
