SOUTH AUSTRALIAN MATRICULATION |
Course Structure |
INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT TO LEARNING
The South Australian Matriculation (S.A.M.) programme is an internationally recognized one-year, pre-university matriculation programme.
The SAM Programme has been offered since 1982 to schools and colleges outside Australia. During this period, more than 20,000 students have been awarded matriculation scores and have entered a wide variety of courses in universities throughout the world.
The S.A.M. program is administered by the Senior Secondary Assessment Board of South Australia (SSABSA), a statutory authority of the South Australian Government with the sole legislative responsibility for the curriculum and assessment of senior secondary education in that State. The S.A.M. program has been offered outside Australia by SSABSA for fifteen years.
The high quality of the program is proven by the excellent results our students achieve every year. It has gained international acclaim as the largest and most successful S.A.M. program in the world. You will find many S.A.M. graduates at reputable universities in Australia, New Zealand, U.K., U.S.A., Singapore, India, Canada and other countries.
During this time it has been taught in schools in Malaysia and Singapore, and now is the most popular Australian-based pre-university program in Malaysia. The S.A.M. program has given more than 15,000 students access to the SACE in their own country, and has led to their acceptance by universities across the world, including Australia, India, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
International acceptance of the S.A.M. program, and its proven track record have meant continued expansion of the program in Asia – and indication of the confidence that International educators have in the S.A.M. program.
The SACE is a senior secondary credential within the Australian Qualifications Framework. SSABSA is affliated with the Australasian Curriculum, Assessment and Certification Authorities organisation, and the International Association for Educational Assessment.
