Humanization is the key concept of Olympia College Kuala Lumpur (OCKL) - gearing towards sustainability in education.
In this context, advocacy campaign is launched to engage school counselors with the corporate governance components of the institutions for the public - to the public. Parallel to the campaign, on the 10th of April, an event was held to extrapolate the whole concept into visualization.
The event began with a pilot project between the school counselors from the state of Melaka and the representatives from OCKL. The purpose of the advocacy campaign is to address two important issues; consisting of Academic Repertoire and the Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR).
Firstly, the campaign promoted on the aspect of Academic Repertoire that covers the vocational and hands-on training of which provided by the Department of Skill Development - in specific - the Hospitality and Tourism programme. Then, a talk on courses that offered by Olympia College, ranging from Certificate to Postgraduate, with reputable partners such as University of East London and IPE Management School of Paris. Subsequently, a discourse is established between the counselors and the Head of School of Language Studies that is related to "The importance of English as teaching medium in post-colonial practice".
Secondly, the campaign touched on the aspect of Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR). Therefore, OCKL has taken this campaign to another level - focusing on inclusivity in the advocacy campaign. Albeit, it means, promoting scholarship for the unfortunate and the excellence candidatures of the college.
