Students will visit the Hotel and they need to observe the various facilities available at Symphony Suites. The visit will take about three and a half hours conducted by Mr. Mukhriz, the Operations Manager and Mr. Dalbeer, the Room Division Manager.

Friday, 27th Feb 2015 - This report is basically for hotel visit to Symphony Suites Hotel in T12015.
Basically, students who joined this hotel visit are from Diploma in Hotel Management programme. This hotel visit will give an impact to students in applying the basic knowledge of housekeeping and accommodation.
Symphony Suites Hotel is a boutique hotel located in Ipoh, This hotel provide accommodation for both leisure and business visitors. Thus, the students were exposed to 3-star boutique hotel establishment.
Symphony Suites Hotel is able to provide excellent hospitality and friendly, efficient service with a very small number of staff numbering 40 staff. At the 3-star level, it special product is the room itself where they put guest comfort as top priority.
9.30am – 10.30pm – Talk by Mr. Dalbeer Singh, Room Division Manager, regarding career in hotel industry. In addition Mr. Dalbeer also explained about room division management which consists of front office, housekeeping and maintenance.
Mr. Dalbeer shared his 20 years of experience working in hotel industry.
10.30am – 11.30am – Talk by Mr. Mukhriz, Operation Manager of Symphony Suites Hotel. He talked about the Human Resource Department roles in managing the employees of the hotel. He also explained about the basic knowledge and skill need to be mastered by students such as communication skill, product knowledge skill and anger management.
11.30am – At 12.15pm - Hotel tour guide by Mr. Dalbeer, student visited all type of rooms, the hotel facilities such as gymnasium, coffee house and etc.
