TRAIN AND PLACE PROGRAMME IN HOSPITALITY

The Train and Place Programme in Hospitality is specially designed to develop school leavers, youths, unemployed graduates, retrenched workers as well as adults with or without a strong educational background, to acquire a range of knowledge and skills directly relevant to the hospitality industry. The programme will enable students to acquire basic skills in cookery, cleaning procedures and food & beverage services. The programme is fully funded by the Ministry of Human Resources.

Objectives

To ensure student is employed on graduation by:
•           Teaching essential job skills for the hotel industry
•           Teaching soft skills - teamwork, critical analysis, time management to ensure high employability
•           Having sufficient practicals incorporated in the course
•           Guaranteed job upon completion of studies

Programme Structure

BASIC LEVEL (2 MONTHS)
Modules:
• Basic Cookery
• Cleaning Procedure
• Food & Beverage
• Presentation Skills
• Time & Self-Management

ELEMENTARY LEVEL (2 MONTHS)
Modules:
• Food Production Techniques
• Housekeeping
• Food & Beverage Service
• Writing Skills
• Success in Life

Entry Requirement

•           Must be a Malaysian citizen
•           SPM school leavers / youths age between 18 - 45 years old (completed Form
            Five)

Allowance

•           Monthly allowance of RM500 for youths / unemployed graduates
•           Maximum monthly allowance of up to RM800 for retrenched workers
