WORKSHOP ON “BALANCE SCORE CARD & INTEGRITY”
28 March 2009
Olympia College , 2nd Floor, Wisma Thrifty, No. 19, Jalan Barat, 46200 Petaling Jaya
Operation outputs are all about people performance. Organization must go back to the basic, that is, to manage its most important assets - its human capital. What would it mean if all the people in the organization knew how their job performance affect corporate strategy? If they knew how their activities affected their colleagues and managers performance? If they saw their jobs not as a collection of unrelated tasks but as a sequence of activities forming the value chain that contributes to the organization performance.
Understanding such importance, Olympia College had organised a workshop on “Balance Score Card & Integrity” by Peter Wyss at its Petaling Jaya campus on 28 March 2009. The workshop covered facilitating activities to inspire action and engage participants involvement in an interactive learning process where they acquire, demonstrate the application of and practice core value. Hands-on training and tools were provided to help participants bring the knowledge back to the workplace.
The broad objectives of the workshop include:
- How to think strategically instead of tactically and operationally
- How to formulate the picture of the future for your organisation
- How to link strategic measures to operational measures
- How to develop strategy mapping and performance measure development skills for your planning team
- Define integrity for yourself
- Leadership and Professional Integrity
The Balanced Score Card development framework is an effective way of creating this knowledge and understanding for all jobholders. Once that is achieved, each individual can begin to see the bigger picture on the importance of their contribution and how meaningful it is to the overall corporate performance measurement. Developing objectives and meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is the key KPIs are the financial and other quantitative measurements that are collected and used to evaluate progress towards meeting the organization’s goals and objectives.
