Olympian Gets Internship in USA

Olympia College is the first private college in Malaysia to enrol in
SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) Global Network and the SIFE chapter
was formed at the college on 16 March 2005. It was indeed a truly
memorable day for the students of South Australian Matriculation (S.A.M)
Programme as guest speakers include five intern students from SIFE
United States were at the KL campus to mentor the new SIFE team and
share their experiences. According to the SIFE Country Coordinator,
Datin Assoc. Prof. Norela Nuruddin, Olympia College is the first private
college in Malaysia to join SIFE Malaysia out of 14 public and private
universities enrolled in SIFE.
Established in 1975, SIFE is a global, non-profit educational
organization that aims in improving the quality and standard of living
of people around the world through teaching the principles and values of
free enterprise. SIFE is now on 1700 campuses in 42 countries worldwide.
Students can benefit by developing their leadership, teamwork and
communication skills through learning, practising and teaching the
principles of free enterprise.
SIFE chapter was established in Malaysia in November 2000. Since then,
SIFE Malaysia has organized annual National Competition whereby the
winning team has represented Malaysia in the SIFE World Cup Competition.
Through SIFE, students get the opportunity to carry out entrepreneurial,
economic and community-based projects and participate in SIFE National
and World Cup Competition.

College was selected for the SIFE Business Internship
Partnership, sponsored by The Bureau of Education and Cultural
Affairs of the U.S.A and will be representing Olympia College to
the United States for 3 months (May - August 2005) to
participate in SIFE USA National Exposition in Kansas City. Established in 1975, SIFE is a global, non-profit educational
organization that aims in improving the quality and standard of
living of people around the world through teaching the
principles and values of free enterprise. Congratulations
Magdelene.
Raffles
Forum
Raffles Forum recently conducted a talk
entitled "The Role of Education in Social Integration
" at Olympia College Kuala Lumpur campus. Guest speaker was
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister Department, Yang Berhormat
Datuk Dr M Kayveas. The forum was attended by members of the
public, post-graduate students and staff of Olympia College.
Raffles Forum acts a part of our "community service" to the
community and individuals.
Founders Day 2006 The Raffles Education Group celebrated its 8th Founder's Day on 27 May 2006 in honor of the late Mr Winston Pereira, the Founder. This annual event was held at the Kelab Century Paradise and was attended by about 250 people, comprising of staff and their families.
